Friday Challenge - Kraft Paper, Flair & Chipboard!

Friday, October 11, 2013

Hey everybody, Brenshevia here and its my turn to host the Frosted Designs bi-weekly challenge.  My challenge for today is Kraft, Flair and Chipboard Oh My!  For this challenge we would like you to use kraft paper, flair and chipboard on your project. Yep! We want to see all three!

I decided to go with Pink Paislee's Hey Kid Collection.  I fell in love with this collection the first time I saw it!  So in addition to the Hey Kid Collection  I used a kraft placemat from Jillibean, chipboard chevron confetti  from the Frosted Design store and came up with this layout featuring photos from my most recent Disney trip with my family~

And of course...we have an amazing prize that you are really going to want!!
We would love to welcome StencilGirl!

Mary Beth worked in the insurance industry for 18 years before one day she went crazy and quit her job. While exploring her creativity, she re-ignited her inner artist. She is now ecstatic to support herself as as full time mixed media painter and nationally known workshop instructor. Her mixed media process utilizes pastel, ink, marker and acrylics layered with various collage and texture materials; she welcomes so-called "mistakes" because they lead to wonderful opportunities and discoveries. She enjoys helping students find their voice and teaching them to critically assess their own work so they can grow as an artist.

Having hand-cut her own stencils for years, Mary Beth dipped her toe into the stencil design business in 2010. Expanding StencilGirl to team up with other artists is the fulfillment of her dream to provide the highest quality artist designed stencils for the mixed media world.

Okay, I know I'm gonna sound dumb but I have to ask: what is flair? I'm familiar with bling but flair is a new one for me!

Hi Cheryl! I'm glad you asked! I am sure others are asking the same thing! Flair are those cute little pins without the pins! If you look at all the DT samples you will see each one has a circle pin with a picture/design on it... it just has the pin part taken off so it can be glued down. Most of them have flat backs.... does that make sense?
